It might behoove you to read the literature from the early christians and learn of all the controversy surrounding every bit of text in there. This has been widely known for quite some time but has been largely suppressed from common knowledge and sponsered statements like this: "Should we understand sacred writ according to the letter, we should fall into the most enormous blasphemies." - St. Athanasius. The bible could not be interpreted literally or without controversy by its own founders, how then can the derivitive translations be any better?
