Any material technologists out there? by Sleepy_Head 2003-07-11 02:00:13
I need a couple of materials for a project to make some items.

1) Water tight, tear resitstant and heat resistant (ie won't melt) upto about 200°C and able to maintain it's integrity and flexability down to tempratures around -120°C.
Also a very hight heat transfer rate from surface to surface. Needs to be made into bags with a valve connection at opposing ends and reasonably flexable. The thinner it can be made the better!

2) A light weight heat resistant (won't catch fire) fibre material that again has a very high heat transfer rate through the material. Must come in sheets 10"x24" and down to thicknesses of 2mm.

Any help well recieved.

Sleepy.

Disclammer:
None of these materials will be used in any illegal activities. Unless you count super-cooling various inanimate object illegal!
