Word game thingy thread by oot 2003-06-06 19:46:25
The aim of the game is to get from the start word to the target word through a path of related words. For example, if the start was fruit and the target was cheese: "fruit, food, snack, cheetos, cheese". The path does not need to be the fastest or most sensible path, the answer "fruit, apple, golden, shiny, glossy, ice, icicle, stab, knife, cut, cheese" would work just as well. To play, put the word you are contributing to the chain in the subject of your post. If a link in the chain gets more than one reply, the game can be forked to continue on both replies. If your post is the target word, the former target word becomes the new start word and you can specify the next target word in your post (try to choose one that has no obvious path between the two words).
