I am posting from "boxofrain". When I finally got my family to let me put Linux on their computer, I let it keep its default name of "darkstar". Noticing the accidental correspondence of names I proceeded to name my laptop* "ripple". My sister would probably be unhappy to find that her laptop* has been named "chinacat" (she should just be glad that I didn't name it "thegoldenroadtounlimiteddevotion"). _{*Portable object that may have passed for a computer some two-digit number of years ago... but it sometimes sort of works, and that's what matters, right?}
