The English language has diverged, to the point where there are now differences, not only in how it is pronounced, but also in how it is spelled. It is ignorant, and somewhat rude, to correct someone for using the spelling appropriate to his locale.

So please accept aluminum as correct, along with aluminium. You see, it really IS correct.

And I will accept you as having something real, worthwhile and understandable, whether you have honor or honour. I will accept you as understanding funnies, whether you have humor or humour. And I will even agree that you have some fashion sense, whether you have the right colors or the right colours.
