After all, we're talking Wal-Mart, here; if they had a brain, they'd stick a yellow happy face on it, call it a roll-up, and hock it off on the nearest available customer.

But, to answer the question: they're selling it because it sells well enough to justify any flack they might catch from selling it in the first place. They're covering it up because they're gutless hypocritical cowards. Typical business practice, really.
