making a point by McGowan 2003-06-06 11:28:01
Before i start i must mention my heart really goes out to the families of the soldiers lost in the recent war in iraq and in all wars, and that this post isnt about the morals of going to war but of our own hypocritical society.

BBC2 a tv channel in the UK is showing a clip from the war in Iraq. It's a clip of the allied soldiers who were executed in an iraqi jail, the faces are blurred out. There has been huge uproar about this, how inhumane it is and the gross misconduct of the BBC for showing it.

but how many of these people have slowed down when they pass a crash on the motorway. Now its either morbid curiosity you know, wondering what happened? or maybe they they are trying to catch a glimpse of some sprawled across the tarmac. Either way those people who then complain about it on our tv's are hypocrites.

I'm sorry if this is in poor taste, but hypocrites annoy me if your going to make a stand then at least be constant.
