| Sysadmins are dumb! |

| What is it that makes a system administrator so darned great? Is it the fact that s/he can quaff large amounts of caffeine while sitting on his/her bum? Is it because they utilize immense amounts of useless knowledge to cut off someone's account who was too busy having a life to sign a stupid piece of paper? System administrators go to star trek conventions and to stupid "white hat" and "black hat" (just to check on what the enemy is doing) conventions (What? are they cowboys?) and spend outrageously large amounts of money on useless upgrades! Oh dear! And now our company has to "BACK UP" it's files on LARGER media. *disgusted* What?! Like we have to worry about losing our information? It's stored on the harddrive dumbbutt! And wah wah wah you have to stay late on the new employee's computer to make it "compatable" and to add a "COMPANY STANDARD LOAD" to it, whatever that means. You shouldn't even be PAID to do something like that! It comes out of the box with Windows and everything you need already installed! And this security nonsense! I know people that have had the same password for the last 5 years who have never had a problem! Some of them even leave a post-it note on their monitor with it for co-workers who work during the weekends! What's the problem with that?!!! They've never had a problem with their files, and their trashcan is even routinely emptied out more often, undoubtedly by co-workers happy to work with someone so unconcerned with all this security hogwash! And making us use this needlessly complicated SSH junk when telnet works just as well. You think someone is going to break in to the building and steal our password or something? And to top everything off, what is with all of this wire junk you are continuously putting in the ceiling tiles? Everytime that someone wants to move their computer to a better more logical position, you sysadmin types are jumping on peoples desks, popping ceiling tiles, probably making a big stupid spaghetti mess up there with the squirrels and mice! But there is worse! At the end of the day you smell bad! Sure, blame it on "Infrastructure Changes" and some sort of fiber upgrade. At least have the common curtesy to keep your smelly carcass away from us! All of this useless running around and acting like you know it all. I know that I am going to tell MY boss to make sure that he KNOWS that you are goofing off. He'll listen to me too! He came up from the ranks from the marketing division! |
