I think my recomendation would be to be not be in a realtionship until your are 'stable and secure' as a single person.
Seriously, take a year off, don't date, don't get involved. Make sure you know, solidly who you are, then look for someone.
It's great to have someone around to love and support, but it's to easy to become use and abuse and depend on if you not on solid footing to begin with.
In the short term, keep her dumped. Maybe she really is sorry, but that won't stop it from happening again, and why should you suffer her problems.
