So the... by breezeblock 2006-11-19 12:55:59
London Congestion Charge is working is it? They have reduced traffic by a whopping 16% and increased average speeds from a measily 8 mph to a warp-factor 11 mph (tho' if the AA are to be believed that figure should read 7 mph). Wow! I am impressed! 3 mph! you can now travel through london with the velocity of a speeding Segway! Why have they bothered?!?

I also notice that 110,000 people per day have had to pay this charge in the last 3 months. Lets do some sums....110,000 at an average of say £4 = £440,000 per day. times by 90 = £39,600,000. Times by 4 = £158,400,000. A hundred and fifty eight and a half million sovs. Per year. Now I know why they bothered - Robbing gits! :o(
