Where to begin if you are new to programming? by krisguy 2003-06-06 00:05:58
I want to learn how to program some stuff for my Linux boxen, and I have some books covering some languages, but I am the kind of person that likes to jump right in.

What or where would be the best place for me to start?

Jump into a new project?
Help with an established one?
Make my own variation of a program I like?

Your thoughts please....... Kris
