There is MORE than just a test in the TLP. | by Naruki | 2003-06-02 09:36:36 |

Yes, but you've made no assertions. | by special_ed | 2003-06-02 09:42:10 |

(Although, I must point out that that bit about the old saying is the best (worst?) example of hypocrisy I've seen in a long time.)
You invited response with your posting of the test, if only to the test section. I explained to you why I didn't "roll your ball". (Ew.) I didn't criticize, although I will if you think it'll be helpful.
I didn't say it was a discussion on behavio(u)r modification techniques. I said it was a discussion on behavior and behavior modification, specifically in the context of the psychology of morality. Nor did I expect that it should be in-depth or complete. I was answering you as to why I'm not particularly interested.
In the first response, I mentioned that you made no assertions for the purpose of discussion (which you didn't), and made some attempt at explaining why you hadn't gotten the discussion you (evidently) wanted. You responded with rather more haughtiness than is usual for you, especially against such inspired silliness as "my dog ate it".
Then I attempted to clarify my position, specifically my lack of interest in the subject matter you were apparently, after review, trying to promote. This is done with a modicum more sarcasm, given your mood.
Finally, I have this to say: Fine. Open up your discussion. Post a new thread every damn day, if it blows your dress/kilt up. But you might try some thing else than just fact-posting if you would like to foster discussion. Take a position and challenge; it doesn't seem that noncontoversial postings generate too much but poll-type results. Also: get bent. |
