for my shyness being "natural". I get more withdrawn and sleepy the more alcohol I have. And I don't enjoy being drunk (or even really tipsy) since it just makes me feel slightly ill.

That's why I'm a very moderate drinker. I'll have a drink or two because I like the taste of wine and some mixed drinks, but it's very rare that I'll continue to drink once I've started feeling the effects. I usually only get drunk if I want to be out like a light, or if one of my housemates keeps refilling glasses when I'm not paying attention (that's what I get for living with a bartender :) ).
