is not possible. We do the best we can, with our limited abilities. You asked a theoretical question. Theory assumes perfect understanding and perception, which is impossible IRL. A situation as you describe is solved ethically correctly no matter which choice a person gives. The specific choice simply shows the limitations of each respondee.
