Not all recreational drugs alter who you are. I've never found marijuana, for example, to alter who a person is. Pot tends to enhance who you are actually. I've seen slightly mean people get drunk and become even more mean and obnoxious. I've seen witty people get stoned and yammer on at length and in detail about some obscure subject in the most hilarious manner. It depends upon the drug and what it's for. Sure antidepressents change you from a depressed person to someone who is on an even keel. How is that dishonest? Should a depressed person stay depressed even to the point of suicide or inability to function in society?
