would be if they needed the money why didn't they ask if they could borrow some rather than steal it?
But then I'm very close to my best friend(s), they are partly to blame for me being who I am today and for me making it through my early 20's manic depressive stage. They tend to get exemptions to a lot of my general rules / moral values.
I think the phrase I'm looking for is unconditional friendship.
