Depends on several things by TheyMustBIdiots 2003-05-26 11:05:49
1) Type of shot, ie Buck shot versus birdshot

2) Speed of the skeet when it is launched

3) Size of clay pigeon

4) Distance and angle relative to launch and flight path.

As 2 and 4 become large, then shooting with a rifle becomes VERY difficult (Trust me, experience speaking).

Also, my rifle is only a Ruger .22 mag. I'm not the best, but the bullet velocity becomes largely vertical after too short a time for me to effectively shot skeet with it. Rabbit skeet works with it very well though ;)
