Strange (?) linux thingy by Pic 2003-05-24 14:05:51
ATM I'm only ssh'ing into my box (as there's no screen =), but it seems that as I log out the bash processes started don't die as I logout. Now I had to su using my one persistent connection and kill -9 some zombie processes to be able to log in as a seconf user... when I tried to log in putTTY relayed a message from the login program saying that the fork () resource was busy or something like that.

Two questions:
1) Is thisd normal? (I shouldn't think so...)
2) What can I do about it? `kill -9 -bash` doesn't work horribly well, and the man page for kill isn't very helpful as to how I kill according to name and not pid...

Thanks in advance.
