Dual jet engines, complete with individual thrust reversers and directors. Disc brakes as well of course, as it'd be suicidal otherwise. Should be able to do a little over 1g acceleration and deceleration, beats every vehicle on the road. Excellent for taking the mickey out of motorbikes and those fast starting people. Not sure if afterburners are a good idea though - not much extra thrust (5% or so) but massive long flames out the back...
