2.5" Notebook Travelstar 20 GB, by pecosdave 2003-05-24 06:13:27
does anyone know if those are problematic? Mine slowly died. A few weeks ago I posted about random lock ups and file system problems. It was as I suspected, my HDD was dieing on my notebook. I'm going to have to try and return it on waranty, I have my old 6 GB Travelstar drive in right now. It booted right up to the install of Win2K that was on the machine when I bought it no problem. I know IBM has been having quality issues on their 3.5" drives the last couple of years (fortunately the one in my main machine has been around more than 2 years no problems) but I haven't heard anything about the mobile drives. Anyone else?
