I just spent $850 on a new monitor	by snArl	2003-04-26 21:47:59
It's a ViewSonic VX900 19" digital flat-panel LCD (as opposed to those curved LCD screens you hear so much about) with a 0.294 pixel pitch and a 600:1 contrast resolution. My old monitor was a Gateway 17" CRT that was a total POS. Every so often, it would flake out and the display would appear...wavy. The left side was blurry for no apparent reason. Its only saving quality? It was free. The ViewSonic is incredible. The picture is bright and crisp, and the controls are intuitive. I just thought I'd share. After all, I've been working a lot of overtime lately (which would explain my absense from the board). I still think that it's a Bad Thing(tm) that they decided to build a Fry's within 2 miles of where I work. We go there for lunch now (they have a pretty good cafe inside) and drool over the latest technology. My bank account is going to suffer...I can feel it in my bones. :)
