What kind of brain type do you have? by DaNutBall2006-11-19 12:55:59
EQ=20, SQ=32, but this test is NOT by adiplomat2003-04-26 21:11:56
Well something it doesn't mention by Arienadean 2003-04-26 21:32:32
is the fact that certain results from that test are also highly typical of people with ADD as well.

I have brain injury too and I think they can't say for sure what caused my autism. It could of been the 2 times I went into anaphalxic shock, I don't think my stroke did it as stuff was evident when I was an infant(I would of met infantile autism criteria but wasn't checked by shrinks til I was 6 and the body of a child goes through rapid changes in first few years of life). Also it seems traits run in my family and I don't think those that had the traits had any birth trauma or like trauma that could of induced.(except for my dad who had led poisioining during WWII from shrapnel that was unsafe to remove. But his "autistic" characteristics were as a young boy as well as an adult so I doubt the led had anything to do with it)

But yes various conditions overlap and sometimes people have conditions that mimic things. People that are mentally challanged could often fall into ADD/ADHD(with the h also being hypo active as well as hyper). As it could be due to birth trauma or other abnormalities.

Several autistic autopsies showed brain anomalies tho.(everyones a little diffrent but their varience or absense of somethings was above average) I had a PET scan as a child and my brain is diffrent than the average one.<shrug> Again I don't think they could say for sure the cause. But I believe the shock occred at 5months old and I was an unusual enough infant they realized I was diffrent by 3 months old.
