was she complaining at all of you being too clingy, posessive, or things in that line? If so give her space and fight those urges to call and let her come to you. Otherwise you'll shove her more away and make her angry. Now if those prior things mentioned aren't at issue. Calling someone to see how their trip went as a friend shouldn't be a big deal. It's when you can't resist going a day or even a few days without calling/seeing the person that you may irritate the heck out of them and possibly make the situation worse if they wanted space. People that want space need time and usually first day after is a wind down, second day is starting to try to think on things, then after that giving themselves a breath thinking on it and later evaluating it deeper. If they don't get the time/space to evaluate it deeper they tend to go on instinct and impulse which might be due to anger or frustration or the like. If you feel the need to go bug her when you know you shouldn't be because you are taking a breather. When the urge comes up re direct yourself to another task to take your mind off of it. Or talk to another friend who knows what is going on and tell them your having one of those moments and need to get out and take your mind off things. A little self behavioural mod can do wonders for somethings... and she'll see that you are making effort to give her space and I'm sure she's realized it's hard.
