Thank you, Dr. Naruki! :) I have been in a similar situation in my life, and I finally let it go. I got happy just being me. I still continued to see the person socially, but didn't go out of my way. Once I had gotten past the point of depending on someone else for my happiness, she actually began pursuing me! I think Naruki is right about the confidence part. We tend to push away those who seem too clingy (unless we're co-dependent, and you really don't want to go there). :)
