A while ago when I had an email address with the word "spam" in it, I noticed I got significantly less spam there than I did at a similiarly used account at the same provider. I think a lot of address harvesters will attempt to remove common spam-proofing words such as "spam", so I bet a lot of my spam from that account wound up getting sent to the version of the name without the word "spam" at the same domain. You might want to set up sendme_your@yahoo.com as well, and not have it signed up for anything at all, just to see if it gets spammed by places that remove the word spam.
