First, I claim no responsibility for any harm caused to you while larting me senseless, such as:
1) the chipped fingernail caused by pressing the thermonuclear lart launch button
2) the burns caused by misuse of a flamethrower
3) the minor contusions to the hand involved in causing severe blunt force trauma to an opponent
4) the emotional repurcussions of having a battle of wit with an unarmed opponent
I hate bureaucracy, programs that encourage the perception of "entitlement," and hypocritical "religious" zealots regulating morality in an egalitarian manner.
And trust union leaders or business executives? I "trust" business executives more in that I find them more predictable, but wouldn't want anything to do with the stereotypical example of either.
Then there's trusting the legislative or executive. Ok, so both have a great deal of power. One has a single man with a dangerous view on morality in charge, and the other has a bunch of people voting against the people they represent out of greed.
The tax question isn't really acceptable, either. I think there are quite enough taxes on the middle class and above as it is, the issue is to get that "and above" to pay the full amount for their income group. When my parents determine that they would've kept more money overall if my mother hadn't received a disability check (fibromyalgia, among other causes), something seems a little wrong. As for the rich/corporations, the more than half-billion dollars in tax-deductible 2002 US Congress campaign contributions could certainly be put to better use. |
