It's been working out reasonably well in our societies, yes, but the idea of capitalism is that eventually, all material goods are distributed fairly by competition - and I don't think that's working as it is now. Which is why I am just as suspicious of dogmatic free-marketeers as I am of hard-line communists. Until we find out how to change human nature, we'll have to find a path through the middle (slightly left of it if you ask me, but that's a matter of opinion, of course). |
