And I bassing that on my experiance in the artillery, so I could be way off. But we always computed firing solutions so that we could "FIRE" the guns. Not shoot them. Man, that brings back some memories. All the electronics had gone down. The sound powered comms lines had been cut by a dang USArmy tank that was lost. Multiple fire missions going all at once. We have Marines strung out in a 'bucket brigade' shouting firing commands from the Fire Direction Center out to the individual pieces. Never missed a lick, and actually beat most of the battalion in getting our fires out first. :)
