.. because of the nature of software, I believe that open-source is actually a better way of doing business under a free-market system. I always thought that open-source and open-ideas (not products, mind you, but ideas) actually helps the capitalist system rather than hinders it. The problem is, modern capitalism puts the emphasis on the bottom line rather than what you're producing.
