I am an economic conservative ... an environmental centrist (leaning to liberal but won't spike trees) ... a social centrist ... a religious liberal (I am, after all, Wiccan) I have never followed a party line in my life, nor voted one. I'm married to an extreme economic conservative and wanna-be curmudeon who subscribes to Rush 24-7 AND listens to NPR and talk radio across the spectrum of politics. Basically he hates paying taxes, and thinks that there is work out there for most people. He's met too many welfare junkies and seen his parents (and mine) work their way out of poverty and into over-taxed middle income-dom... he froths alot and usually votes Republican (but not always ... and never when religion is mixed in) ... he thinks the Patriot Act needs to be shoved into someone's oriface ... and that the PC crowd should be shoved in there with it because of the entire profiling nonsense.
