Free and/or Open vs. Proprietary Software by Silvermoon822003-04-24 12:48:52

Clicky

It's very good, and nice, and gives the best possible software and all, and open standards allow products to win through innovation and actually being good, rather than becoming "the standard" (MS Office, anyone?), but it can't work fully under capitalism, unless programmers learn how to survive on good intentions (and impatient, ungrateful demands for features and bugfixes).
