The board wouldn't syn, just the comic by mortaine 2003-04-24 12:46:06
the LJ feed from UF has been broken pretty much always. In the UF FAQ (http://www.userfriendly.org/faq/), mirroring is prohibited because it robs the site of income-generating page views (and in the case of a RSS feed, costs bandwidth). If an unauthorized RSS feed were made, LJ would certainly respect the wishes of Illiad and remove it on request.

As for a feed for the ars comments board-- that would really be.... difficult. I don't think it exists at this point, and RSS feeds on LJ don't generally pass the comments through, so when you comment on WWDN, for example, the LJ feed for wil_wheaton doesn't update with the comments. Since top-level items only would show up (the comics), the board pages would have to be added daily, which is just not practical.

Aspectus.com has an RSS feed and is probably already on LJ, if you want to head to the more intellectual discussion side of things.

*waves to her neighbor/relative* And how are things with you? Have news yet?
