I got a call once - in the middle of my sleeping period (which just happens to coincide with what manu of you may think of as "night") - and I apparently answered it in my sleep! My wife attests that I helped them key in boot code or some such nonsense, then - after they started throwing the "It Works! It Works!" party, promptly fell the last bit back into slumberland - leaving the phone plastered to my ear (or close to it)! She said the stupid hum woke her up, so she hung it back up - and I never flinched, moved - nothing!
Naturally, I didn't remember the call - so what made it wierd? Everybody was treating me so nicely the next day, and mumbling about how I selflessly saved the day, etc. (apparently there was a deadline involved, and I helped them...) She (and several co-workers) actually had to convince me that this wasn't an elaborate joke - that it had actually happened.
Of course, I'm willing to bet that you guys have all done the same sort of thing, so it's not reall wierd any more - just sort of commonplace - isn't it? But I suspect that it qualifies - because it was wierd to me... |
