Nor is it limited to women. There aren't really that many differences in the physiology of men and women. In most mammals, the butt is a primary sexual attractor. Since humans evolved to stand upright and face to face the breasts of females evolved as a replacement attractor and signal that the female is physically ready, or capable, of breeding. At least that seems to be the common opinion.
