I think Mussolinesque would be closer. Benito Mussolinis definition of fascism was the militaristic states merger with the power of the big corporations, IIRC.. If I'm not mistaking the US economy isn't doing so hot right now, so big US corporations could use some fresh turf. And what an easy target Iraq makes.. Since the US is such a young nation, it never went through the era of colonization, like many european countries did. Guess they felt it's time to catch up?
