Though I don't think they sold there shares to Microsoft, they sold them back to Rare, and Rare turned around and sold them to Microsoft if I remeber correctly. Nintendo was probally shocked by it.
I have all 3 consoles, my PS2 is now just a dust trap, My Xbox is a great console and I play it almost as much as I do the Gamecube. Xbox live is the main reason to have the Xbox, I love playing Capcom vs SNK on it :) love Halo, love Crazy Taxi 3 (but it doesn't feel as good as 1 for the Gamecube).
Nintendo though I feel has just plain better games, the games get played more, for longer, and I just like the feel of the console better... it has a happy / fun feel rather then the Xbox's sporty / action feel.
I currently play Phantasy Star Online on the cube and I think its a great game, but I have to admit I'm considering switching to PSO for XBOX, becuase ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO CONVERSE ON THE GAMECBUE, no keyboard, XBOX has both keyboard and voice chat.
All in all, I just feel that Sega fits in better with Nintendo then it does with Xbox, and I'd hate to see whats great in Sega be altered to try and fit with the Xboxs feel. |
