Question of the Day! by kickstart2006-11-19 12:23:33
This has to be up there: by skippy-ish_guy 2003-04-24 05:48:29
Not the brightest individual I've ever dealt with. The phone rings, I give my little opening speel. He says:

"Yeah, hi. Uh, I'm wondering about backups. I have a 20GB Hard Drive, and I was wondering how I should go about backing it up."

"Okay, what were you thinking of using to back up your data?"

"I was thinking of using disks. How many would I need for all my data?"

"How much and what kind of media are you backing up?"

"About 1 GB."

"I think disks would be somewhat inefficient, sir."

"Really? What do you recommend then?"

"Do you have a CD Burner, also referred to as a CD-R/W drive?"

"Yeah, but can't those only make audio CDs?"

"No sir, you can put data on them. Do you have a CD Burning program?"

"Yeah."

"Put everything you want to back up into one folder, and burn it all on probably two CDs."

"Okay, thanks!"

"No problem, sir. Have a good day."
