on my way into work. There's bout 200 hippie wanna be whiners out front, lined up on I-95, yellin angrily at the factory like some1 can actually hear them or cares what they have to say. they brought a tv camera with 'em to record it. I guess they're there because it's time for the annual stockholders meeting. Philip Morris gets tighter than fort knox on stockholders day. You have to go through about 5 checkpoints to even get in the front door. I just wonder why all those northerners(yes I said northerner, no self-respecting southerner would be dumb enough to protest the cash crop that feeds and clothes his/her southern brothers and sisters) decided to make it their business to take the greyhound down to richmond, a city who's entire population is dependant either directly or indirectly on the tobacco industry, just to yell at stockholders and cause a big ruckus.
Seems like a waste of their time to me, but maybe they aint got sense enough to realize it. Oh well, it is fun to point and laugh at them though. |
