ok ok, it's not REALLY copy protection, but I'm sitting here scanning all of my mother's CD-Rs to see which ones work and which one's don't, and EVERY single disc of her's that has MP3's on it is totally toast, usually without any chance of recovery. However, the same types of discs that died with MP3's on them, when they only have pictures, or movies or something, they are perfectly fine. It's almost as if the RIAA has managed to destroy all of my mother's MP3 archives!
on another note, it appears I will be dead tomorrow afternoon when I break the news to my mother. So much for her 17,000 MP3s .... |
