I said, I believe, that if I burn them at what the software'll support (32x) then I end up with possible buffer underruns (I'm paranoid about those; if the FIFO empties, even though the buffer on the burner itself is a big one, it's a coaster, no question) and a very faint recording; but I'm too impatient to burn them slowly.... so you're telling me my impatience worked for me?
