Question of the Day! by kickstart2006-11-19 12:23:33
Not sure which one to pick... by archnerd 2003-04-24 04:15:22
I had a guy who said he had a floppy in the drive and he had Windows Explorer on A: but couldn't find his files. It didn't occur to him that it needed to be the the same floppy that he had stored his files on. Fortunately, I was cynnical enough to ask if it was.

I've had people who left messages for me saying their computer had crashed and Ctrl+Alt+Del wasn't working, and one time I had to walk over to their computer to unplug it and plug it back in for them.

I've had someone get my 3.5" floppy jammed in his 5.25" drive and then threaten to sue, saying I had put a virus on the floppy that made it do that.

I've had people ask why they can't print, and then realize that they don't have a printer.

I once had a computer that I was servicing start billowing smoke in my face when I turned it on, but the work order was for a dead hard drive.

Me: "Click on 'My Computer'"
Them: "How do you expect me to click on your computer?"

Me: "What OS are you running?"
Them: "AOL"

Someone who was asking me how to clear the history list contained in the address bar in IE went into a panic and started offering me lots of money to help them when I was drawing a blank for a moment.
