My favorite (l)user quote: "Reboot? That'd take 5 minutes! I don't have time for that!" "Well sir, Windows NT (It was NT4) is like that. Maybe you could come in five minutes earlier twice a week and reboot it while you go to the coffee pot. If you don't reboot it now though, it's going to crash in the next day or so." He refused, insisting that I find him an answer that didn't involve a reboot. So I just waited 24 hours and called him back to hear him complain about how much time he'd lost when it crashed. Ka-ching! Two premium rate calls, instead of the one they'd have charged if he'd listened to me in the first place.
