Question of the Day! by kickstart2006-11-19 12:23:33
once my grandma used me for tech support over the by sketcher 2003-04-24 02:59:52
i cant remember much detail from the call, other that after about 5 minutes into it (and she wasnt even at her computer) i had to fake an emergency to get out, because i was about to start crying tears of frustration

cause, you cant do anything to your grandma, like how you can with normal lusers calling in- there's always the 'oh, im sorrry, i thought you said ______', but with your grandma who is not at her computer, and doesnt feel like going to it, theres only 'well supposing that you were there, it would be _______- are you writing this down? have you caught up yet? [arg] ok, and then... i guess you would...'

now i havent done any acutal 'hello, this is matt, how can i help you's', but i did a whole lot of work in the field
the place where you are unable to put your hand over the phone and lean back to bob in the next cubical and get some help, or a sympathetic ear... the place where you actually have to *shudder* touch their computers... and sometimes *shudder**shudder* look inside of them, where they keep the dust and the spiders...

i cant beleive i miss it
