... in my opinion, the TRUE nature of the universe is way beyond human comprehension. This is why I said I'm an athiest when it comes to religion and an agnostic when it comes to the human condition and the nature of the universe and the physical world and all of that stuff.
I get a little fired up when it comes to theological conversations because I have the same opinion as George Carlin, which is that religion has done more bad than good to the collective human psyche.
On the other hand, what probabily pisses me off more is when people claim that they are christians, and then do everything that they're not supposed to do (sleep around, drink, etc.). If you're of a certain religion, than actually follow it, otherwise that's weak. What ticks me off even more is when the same people scream at me because I said "g-ddamn". If there is a god, what do you think he's more angry at; me saying that, or the person breaking every commandment while still saying they're his follower? |
