Well, I for one must disagree with you... | by Llyr | 2003-04-17 14:47:38 |
| Did I say god doesn't exist? |

No, I said I am not going to believe he exists until there is empirical evidence of his existence.
What you put forth as empirical evidence of God's existence is nothing of the sort. That is not empirical evidence of anything except the complexity of nature. Nature has had quite a long time to do some really amazing things. I don't require the addition of a god to make it possible just because I don't understand it all.
Maxwell and Einstein modeled their equations on what was observed or postulated. That does not mean that the universe was modeled around such equations. Also, science is incomplete, so how can their equations even be considered to be absolutely correct. Most probably, they are good approximations of parts of some GUT.
Newton's equations were considered so foolproof that they were considered Laws. Then Einstein came and showed that they were only low-velocity approximations. No scientific "truth" is immune from being proven wrong, or more correctly not exactly right, even such well-established principles as electromagnetism, relativity and quantum theory, so trying to use them to promote your belief is naive at best. |
