of actors toil away in obscurity for a while and know deprivation and hardship. The ones who are "overnight stars" usually worked for ten years or more before being discovered. They have been at the bottom and the top and thus have a broader sense of people's motivations from the lowliest to the highest. The same really can't be said of those born with silver spoons up their butts who have never had to eat peanut butter and crackers because they didn't have enough for food AND rent.
