Not Godwin, but maybe Robbins' law - when all your other arguments fail, pick on their choice of profession.

Acting actually makes you examine not only your own character and what makes you tick, but that of others. In other words, you develop a good deal of insight (at least if you're a good actor). Not the worst choice I could think of for people to listen to.

Most politicians are actors so bad they got laughed out of the try-outs for the school play and took up the debate team instead.
