Here's a good analogy for the current situation:
If you (the US) slap me (some Arab country) every day and I'm too weak to stand up to you directly, I might decide that attacking your car (citizens) is something that I can do safely and get your attention. Obviously doing nothing (being "peaceful" and taking it up the poop shoot from you) just isn't working.
If you get smart and decide that slapping me every day was probably the reason I hurt your car, then you'd stop slapping me.
Instead of that analogy, you are trying to promote one like this:
You are just standing there minding your own business when I attack your car for no reason at all and demand that you give me money.
You give me money, so I attack your car again and demand something else.
The problem here is obvious: you refuse to admit the US is doing anything wrong. You refuse to admit that they have legitimate reasons for being pissed at us. So you will always foment more hatred and terrorism than a peaceful person would. |
