                    well, it is a popular fallacy by slacktime 2003-04-17 11:43:47
that a leader represents his nation. So by that reasoning, if a person feels that the "French" stance hinders the "US" stance, then I as an irritated US citizen can express that irritation with my pocketbook. And since the French leadership represents that french water bottler, letting that bottler know that their leader has irritated his customers is perfectly reasonable. Seems like something similar was used to protest apartheid in South Africa...

And no the French are not cowards. But they knew from the start that the US was not likely to "retaliate" with WMDs. That any US response was likely to be an economic one.
