People unfortunately *do* all too often generalize spokespeople for a group to be representatives of every other subgroup who also hold that view. But to do so is highly illogical, or stupid as I like to call it. Has Mr. Robinson been running around carrying signs saying "I'm an Anti-American and Proud of it!" or something? Not to the best of my knowledge. Certainly not in the article I referenced he doesn't.
When you're coalition building you take who you can get. DR66 should get this. Look at some of the countries in the so-called "coalition of the willing". :) Doesn't mean the spokesperson identifies with all the members in the coalition. Same thing for the anti-war protestors.
